TOPIC: Formal Report or face-to-face meeting?

Formal Report or face-to-face meeting? 2 years 10 months ago #252

You have recently conducted a variance analysis of your project and found that the project is 10% over-budget. This is a very important issue, which you would like to discuss with your project stakeholders. What communication method should you use?

I have seen this questions on a few other sample exams - shouldn't the correct answer be Formal Report and NOT face-to-face meeting?

Hello Mansi,

You do formal reports to show advances on your project but if something wrongs pops up, you will need to schedule a meeting with your stakeholder and inform him about the situation face to face. Sometimes the topics are to sensitive to be handle via formal reports.

Lets say you lost 10 million dollars for a company ( I hope you wont ;) ) would you tell the investor about this news via email?

Try to think it that way! It is a good question!

Thank you!
